Giving can involve different gifts than just financial ones….
At St. Paul’s, we have thought of giving more broadly than just offering financial support to the church. Specifically, the wish to give can involve many different facets.

One can give through praying for another person’s needs, or for a church-led service program to go smoothly, for example. Additionally, an easy way to share a gift of yourself is through being present at Sunday service or a social gathering. Of course, financial giving is important, in that it helps pay to keep the lights on and keeps the church functioning day by day.
Another way to offer a gift is through serving. This service may involve filling a volunteer administrative need, participating in a two-hour service event at a food bank, or singing in the choir. And finally, every day, Christians have the opportunity to witness; to share with others the blessings God has given them, and the deep joy of being close to God.
All these ways to offer of ourselves make up building blocks of giving. And sometimes, if not most times, it just feels really good! More information can be found on the United Methodist Communications web page.
